Angie Cares Parent Advocacy: Supporting Families. Empowering Futures.Get Started

Angie Cares Parent Advocacy was born long before the business itself existed.

Before I earned advanced degrees, before I became an instructional coach, before I served as a principal apprentice or assistant principal, I was a mother trying to understand why my son was struggling.

The story behind Angie Cares

As a parent, I watched my son work harder than many of his peers and still face challenges in school. I saw the frustration, the self-doubt, and the barriers that can emerge when a child learns differently. Like many parents, I found myself searching for answers, asking questions, attending meetings, conducting research, and trying to understand how to get my child the support he needed to be successful.

What I discovered was that many families were experiencing the same thing.

Children were falling through the cracks. Parents were overwhelmed by educational jargon, evaluations, intervention plans, accommodations, and services they often did not fully understand. Families were expected to advocate for their children while simultaneously trying to learn a system that felt confusing and intimidating.

My son's journey changed the course of my life. It sparked a passion for understanding how schools support students with diverse learning needs. It led me to pursue advanced studies in special education and educational leadership. It shaped the professional path I would eventually follow and deepened my commitment to ensuring children receive the support they deserve.

The name Angie Cares was inspired by my middle name, Angelique, but the heart behind Angie Cares comes from my experience as a mother. It comes from knowing what it feels like to worry about your child, to search for answers, and to fight for support when something does not feel right.

Today, Angie Cares Parent Advocacy exists to help families navigate disabilities, educational services, behavioral challenges, and mental health concerns with confidence. My goal is to ensure families feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout the process and to remind parents that they do not have to walk this journey alone.
