Nicolette “Nikki” Alleyne is a published author and mental health advocate whose work focuses on healing, resilience, self-discovery, and navigating life after diagnosis. Through her writing, speaking engagements, and advocacy efforts, Nikki works to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and create safe spaces for conversations surrounding mental health.

Professional background

Nicolette “Nikki” Angelique Alleyne is an educational leader, parent advocate, author, and mental health advocate entering her 19th year in education. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of leadership and instructional roles, including Lead Teacher, Special Education Instructional Coach, Principal Apprentice, and Assistant Principal.

Nikki holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Education in Special Education with concentrations in Emotional Disturbance and Autism. Her educational background, combined with nearly two decades of professional experience, has provided her with extensive knowledge of educational systems, student support services, special education, family engagement, and school leadership.

Throughout her career, Nikki has worked alongside students, families, teachers, administrators, and community partners to improve educational outcomes and ensure students receive appropriate services and support. Her expertise includes special education, instructional coaching, behavioral interventions, family engagement, school improvement, educational leadership, and systems navigation.

In addition, Nikki has extensive experience designing, developing, facilitating, and presenting professional development for educators, instructional staff, school leaders, and families. Her ability to translate complex information into practical, actionable strategies has made her a trusted coach, facilitator, and trainer throughout her career.
